How to get a Volcengine Ark API key

TKReel is free and runs on your own model account (BYOK — bring your own key). Follow these steps to create a Volcengine Ark API key and connect it to TKReel.

1. Create a Volcengine account. Sign up at volcengine.com.
2. Complete identity verification. Volcengine requires real-name verification for accounts under its domestic rules. If you are outside China, eligibility and console access are determined by Volcengine — check their official site for current terms before you rely on this route.
3. Open the Ark console and enable the models. In the Volcengine Ark console, activate the Seedance and Seedream models you plan to use.
4. Create an API key. In the Ark console, create an API key for your account.
5. Paste it into TKReel. In TKReel, open Account Center → Ark Key and paste the key. The key is validated before saving, stored encrypted, and only its last 4 characters are ever shown.
6. Generate. Video and image generation now runs under your Ark account, billed by Ark to you at Volcengine Ark's official rates. Usage and billing stay visible in your Ark console.
